Welcome to our first blog edition of Tree's Three, here on SPORTS TREE LTD! This is Conner Rowntree, and while you won't get to see my ugly mug today, I'll still lay down the THREE most significant sporting events of the Weekend, with picks for all you loyal users, followers, and subscribers! We love you all!

#3 – Combat Sports
Saturday is a combat sports fan and bettor's sweetest dream. The UFC has an afternoon card that starts at 2:00 PM ET, then the trilogy bout between the two best heavyweight fighters in the world; Deontay Wilder will try to regain his title against the Gypsy King, Tyson Fury.
Let's start things out in the boxing ring. While Tyson Fury may not look like a finely tuned athlete, you won't find a boxer or fighter, for that matter, that big and strong with that speed, footwork, and cardio. I took Fury in the first fight which ended in a draw after a miraculous Fury comeback. In the second fight, I retook Fury, and he won that via KO to hand Wilder his first career loss.
I like Fury to win the third meeting. He's too fast and too damn strong. Take Fury for the late finish or DEC victory.
In the UFC – Here are a few picks for you fine folks that know 'Saturday's alright for Fighting.' Across the last 5 UFC events, I've produced a record of 21-5 in head-to-head picks.
First up is the first fight of the night. AJ Schullo of www.ajmmabetting.com likes Steve Garcia to win this fight via KO. I know that because I sat down with him this week on MKF Live to break down this UFC Card. AJ's prediction aside, Garcia already has a KO under his belt in Dana White's Contender Series… Look for another one on Saturday.
In a clash of Heavyweights, Alexander Romanov takes on Jared Vanderra. I like Romanov to finish this one fairly easily. He sports a perfect 14-0 record. Of Romanov's 14 wins, 13 have come by way of stoppage! Look for the Moldovan to add another finish to his resume on Saturday.
In the Co-Main, I like Randy Brown to beat up on Jared Gooden and earn a finish. Gooden has KO power but absorbs over seven significant strikes per minute. Brown is too experienced and has fought the better competition. I like Brown to use faints, mix in some takedown attempts, and strike with Gooden. The simple fact is, if Brown lands anywhere near seven significant strikes per minute on Gooden, it won't be a Gooden night for Jared. Take Brown via KO.
In the Main Event, I like the underdog, Marina Rodriguez, to beat Mackenzie Dern. Yes, Dern is on a four-fight win streak, with a trio of submission wins in that span! However, the underdog, Rodriguez, is the longer, stronger woman. That will pay dividends against a Mackenzie Dern that secures less than 20% of her takedowns. If Dern can't get Rodriguez down or to her back, she can't submit her. Rodriguez is a pure boxer who can keep Dern to the outside and beat her up. I Like Rodriguez to do precisely that and earn the upset.
#2 - MLB Post Season
The MLB Divisional Series is in full swing, quite literally. Starting in the American League, the Houston Astros lead the Chicago White Sox 2-0. On our MLB show (Wing Wednesday, brought to you by Halo Fishing), I said that the Astros are an incredibly deep team. The veterans like Jose Altuve, Carlos Correra, and Yuli Gurriel have a point to prove, and the daunting duo of 24-year-olds Kyle Tucker and Yordan Alveraz are bashing the baseball right now. I like the Astros to clean the White Sox.
The Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red Sox are knotted at a game apiece. Despite Boston crushing Tampa in game two, 14-6, I like the Rays. In recent years, we've seen this team rally from a 3-1 and 2-0 deficit. I like Tampa to rally after the Bo-Sox spanking and advance to the ALCS.
National League Divisional Series got underway on Friday. The Milwaukee Brewers downed the Atlanta Braves 2-1. While the Braves have the potential to make a run; I backed the Brewers to return to the postseason this year, when everyone counted them out. Now favoured, the Brew Crew has it going on. I'm riding with Milwaukee.
While the San Francisco Giants won the division and the first game of the series, they only edged the Dodgers in the NL West by a single game. The Dodgers hosted the St. Louis Cardinals in a tense, Wild Card matchup. Chris Taylor won that game for the Dodgers via a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth inning. That's the stuff dreams are made of right there. With the momentum shift, it's time for the Dodgers to make another World Series Run.
#1 - NFL
If you tuned into the BEARDOWN/breakdown on Thursday, you'd know I nailed another Thursday Night Football matchup and remain perfect on my TNF picks this season. My overall NFL record is 31-7 on the season, which eclipses an 81% accuracy rating. Grizzly also nailed his Thursday Night pick by taking the LA Rams, clever lad, proud dad. Here are some more picks from us for you.
In an all-Sunshine State showdown, I like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to beat the Miami Dolphins at Raymond James Stadium. The Bucs are averaging 30.5 points per game. In contrast, Miami is averaging 15.5 points. This is just an overpowering matchup. Bucs Roll at Home
The Minnesota Vikings should smack the Detriot Lions. The Chicago Bears ran all over Detroit for 188 yards last week! While Dalvin Cook is averaging over 136 rush YPG and has five rush TDs in his last three games vs the Lions…. The Vikings have won each of those three games by 12 or more points. Please give me the Vikings.
I have a theory on the Houston Texans. It's really quite simple. Houston won't win a game when their QB1 throws for less than 90 yards and FOUR interceptions. Now, Texans QB Davis Mills has to take on a Bill Belichick defence. The Pats should get of Houston in a make-or-break game for their season with a win.
The Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars go at it Sunday. The Jaguars have lost 19 straight games, tied for the second-longest losing streak in the Super Bowl era (Last win: Week 1, 2020 vs IND). Hey Alexa, Que Derrick Henry. Titans and King Henry reign supreme come Sunday!
The San Francisco 49ers visit my sleeper team, the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona is the fourth team in the SB era to start 4-0 with 30+ pts and 400+ total yds in each game. Each of the last three teams made it to the Super Bowl. Stop sleeping on the Cardinals, folks.
The New York Giants head to Dallas to take on the Cowboys this Sunday. Dallas's offence is just too potent. I like Danny Dimes to keep the G-Men alive, but Dak and the Boys take the day in Dallas.
Monday Night Football: It's Canadian Thanksgiving Monday. We want to give thanks to all of you! I'll be with my family on Monday, so I'll keep this simple, take the Ravens in that one. Find out why on the BEARDOWN/breakdown.
Cheers, You've Made it to the Weekend!
