The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback turns 44 years old in August as he prepares to play his 23rd season in the league. Just 40 days after retiring, Brady changed his mind and decided to play another year in the Sunshine State. It remains to be seen how many more seasons the seven-time Super Bowl champion will play after 2022, but this announcement seems to hint that this could be his final one as a player.
Over his career Brady has appeared in a record 10 Super Bowls, being named MVP for the big game five times, while also earning 15 Pro Bowl selections. He was chosen 199th overall by the New England Patriots in the 2000 NFL Draft and quickly took the franchise to new heights, helping them capture their first Super Bowl in the 2001 season.
Terms of the deal were not officially disclosed, but according to the New York Post, the future hall of famer and Fox Sports have reportedly agreed to a 10-year contract worth $375 million US.
In a statement on Twitter Fox Sports said "We are pleased to announce that immediately following his playing career, 7-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady will be joining us at @FOXSports as our lead analyst.”
