There are sweeping changes coming at the top of Hockey Canada, with the announcement today that CEO Scott Smith and the entire board of directors are stepping down.

Smith had come under fire for the handling of sexual assault allegations by two Canadian world junior teams from 2003 and 2018.
This news comes just three days after interim Hockey Canada Chair of the Board Andrea Skinner resigned.
The outgoing Hockey Canada CEO had previously resisted calls from Canadian MPs from all four political parties to resign when he made a pair of appearances at Parliamentary hearings.
The 55-year-old Smith had been with Hockey Canada since 1995, previously serving as vice president and chief operating officer.
An interim management committee will be put in place which will guide the organization until no later than a newly constituted Board appoints a new CEO.
In the meantime, Hockey Canada is looking for board candidates, encouraging anyone interested to come forward with calls after nominations were issued last week by the independent Nominating Committee.
