It looks as though more needs to happen for the CFL and the Players Association to reach a new Collective bargaining Agreement (CBA).

A week after a temporary contract was reached between the league and the players association, the membership have said nay to the deal, voting it down on Monday.

This latest news comes despite the bargaining committee approving an agreement that was also recommended by player reps.

Rookie players in training camp (around 400, mostly American) did not vote on the proposed deal. The union gets to decide who is eligible to vote.

This latest twist comes after a seven-year deal on a new CBA was reached late last Wednesday, less than 96 hours after the strike began.

For the moment, the pre-season is still scheduled to begin on May 27, with the regular season starting on June 9.
