The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are putting their money on Zach Collaros to lead them now and in the near future.
Collaros, the reigning CFL Most Outstanding Player was scheduled to hit the free agent market in February but now he will be staying in the Peg until 2025.
It has been a memorable couple of seasons for him since coming over to Winnipeg in a trade with the Toronto Argonauts in the middle of the 2019 season.
Coming in as the third-stringer that year, Collaros helped lead the Bombers to their first Grey Cup in 29 years, before winning it again last season and being named the MVP of the big game.
So far in 2022 the 34-year-old has only gotten better, throwing for a career high 4,115 yards with 35 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Collaros sat out last week in the loss to the BC Lions as the Bombers have already clinched first place in the West Division.
